the swine

we survived the swine
we survived the swine
we can tell the truth from the lies
no need to immunize
we survived the swine
pandemic of our times

we survived the swine
we survived the swine
got no sick germs on our cups
ok to kiss and hug
we survived the swine
pandemic of our time

bad for pigs bad for people
signs and symptoms the great evil
pandemonium's among us
spread awareness not the virus

we survived the swine
we survived the swine
we can tell the truth from the lies
no need to immunize
we survived the swine
pandemic of our time
we survived the swine
we survived the swine

we survived

A letter to GOD~

Dear God,

I've turned a new chapter, and I am no longer trying to catch the waves of the ocean in the palm of my hands (i'll leave that to you), but rather learning to ride them effortlessly. While I surf your breathtaking shores, I need, want and cannot live without the promise of sky-high swells of financial security to keep my board afloat.

Once I have learned to keep my balance, your endless supply of money will afford a colossal boat to bring more truth seekers aboard. (much grander than the ark)

My spiritual heartbeat depends on your financial generosity, GOD, as I feel the commitment and responsibility to join in and serve, so that I may contribute to bringing this incredible planet back into your sacred rhythm.

That being said, I am ready, willing, and able to do what it takes to be shown how to quantum surf the waves of abundance, so I may share my gifts with all who are ready.

God, someones shaking me ....I'm waking, really, waking up this time.... the urge to hit the snooze button is almost gone. People care about me and are spending their precious time to help me, God, and I will not let them down.

I NEED YOUR FINANCIAL HELP, GOD!

The rope is tattered, GOD-I need a LOT of money to make it longer and stronger again.

I understand that I must not rush to accomplish or to obtain. The importance lies in the experience of truth, and the joy in learning and helping others do the same. My old belief systems are falling away, as new seeds are planted in my garden of abundance.

As the lone gardener, my fields of plenitude have and will dry up. so I ask for more divine guidance. I ask to be surrounded with fellow gardeners, so we may water our spiritual gardens together.

My faith in you, GOD is larger than you are! That also means that I believe in myself and all the marvelous things I am capable of.

Tremondously Grateful!

more old writings

my mind is a terrible thing to taste
where it goes i can't control
not a place to live

i try to look for the break, the release
it suspends me deeper inside
feel the warning
look beyond the disease
take me away from this desperate place
into another freedom space
where there is room to grow and be me

it's ok from what i see
a separate life

old journal i found, before transformation

i feel like i am trying to make him someone that he's not. i need to be ok with whatever happens. i love him and if he's not the one, then i need to be ok with it. i need to feel like i am a special girl - whoever's my mate will be there for me. i will be taken care of. if this is not the relationship then things will work out. it's not the end of the world - i need affection, i need to hear "i love you" to me, these are important because it shows what's on your mind. and it's pleasant to be in love. i guess today i feel a bit of hope.

i love the seeds and the seeds love me

earth surrounds the roots
the roots run deep
a fairy for your tooth
growing in the reach

i love the seeds and the seeds love me
i love the seeds and the seeds love me
i know that bird and that bird knows me
i love the seeds and the seeds love me

Anyway

Just wanted to share this brilliant quote with you guys -- i heard it at my yoga class tonight and it was EXACTLY what i needed to hear! Love, heather

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

Deceiving the peeps...

The finest text on this package of Peeps reads…

Diabetics: This product may
be useful in your diet on the
advice of a physician.

What physician would advise such an empty food to a patient s/he cares for and about? Contrast this with the work of Gabriel Cousens on curing diabetes.

Nutrition Facts = Not Nutritious.

Vagina Warriors

http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/64

This link is a great TED talk by Eve Ensler. It's about a woman's determination to help women heal and connect to an essential body part that has been devalued: the vagina. It's a beautiful story about how one woman affects many and seeing the transformation that has helped gain our rights back as the powerful woman warrior that we are.

"When we give in the world what we want the most, we heal the broken part inside each of us" - Eve Ensler

The Waterpod Project

This excites the crap out of me! Leaving me feel so clean and invigorated! The passion was re-ignited when I passed the 79th Street Boat Basin last night. And then passion grew strong when my friend sent me this link today. Coincidence? I think not. This is a lifestyle of living that I want to live. No more apartments...disconnected from the ground, high up in the sky. No more chasing the sunlight, running from the buildings shadows. The waters current is an energy that is unfathomably ever going. It's what we are made up of. It's where we come from. Connected through this current is so strong and building community like this amongst the raw lifestyle just seems to meld effortlessly, no emulsifying agent needed. Please take a look to gather more of an idea of me and where I come from, what excites me! Seriously, no joke.

Setting the mind chatter aside, my first endeavor, I begin meditating early this morning. Pin pointing the breath; bringing it in from the top of the skull down thru the head, shoulders, arms, body, legs and out the feet. Feeling the sensations, tingling, rushing, aching, itching vibrating . . Then following the breath from the feet, up the legs into the body thru the hands, arms & shoulders moving to the head and out. Several patterns of this with occasional rushes down & up the body, felt like warm-up exercises because today, I have a mission in meditating. Today, I'm going into that closed area in my gut. I've known this area as a little rectangular box, hidden away, wrapped and tied shut, protected with vengeance, blocked off & left abandoned. This box, I thought, held my cross to bear, to grieve, laden with heavy chains of sadness and guilt.

Today, somehow, from somewhere, I'm ready to surrender and receive whatever is within that box. To receive with all my senses anything I can feel, taste, smell, see and/or hear. Just be there; just be willing to pay attention.

As I sit, there is an ache in the pit of my stomach. The pain intensifies and reveals no box, just a pin pointed ache in my gut. I begin to see rays of light from that aching spot, brilliant light, light that blazes like fire without heat, light so strong it dissolves the pain and shines completely within. I couldn't believe it. As I watched, the clarity and strength of the light suddenly begins to fade and die down to embers. Oh, No, I want the brilliance to return! I sat still; in the moment; ready to receive. The brilliance, the force, the fullness and beauty of that light returned. It took no work, no struggle; just attention and willingness to receive.

I feel so blessed and thankful.

Much love,
Kendra

I heart red cabbage

Being polish and all...i love cabbage! especially after Kayla made the best recipe at the retreat with omega essential oils & turmeric...here is some info...basically it super fucking nutritious & cleansing for us

It belongs to the Cruciferae family of vegetables along with kale, broccoli, collards and Brussels sprouts.

For about 20 years, we've known that many phytonutrients work as antioxidants to disarm free radicals before they can damage DNA, cell membranes and fat-containing molecules such as cholesterol. Now, new research is revealing that phytonutrients in crucifers, such as cabbage, work at a much deeper level. These compounds actually signal our genes to increase production of enzymes involved in detoxification, the cleansing process through which our bodies eliminate harmful compounds.

I3C has been shown to improve estrogen detoxification and to reduce the incidence of breast cancer.

Cabbage provides anti-carcinogenic glucosinolates, which are formed by the activity of myrosinase enzymes released when cabbage is sliced or chopped. Cooking denatures the myrosinase enzyme, thus stopping the production of glucosinolates. (so eat it RAW)

Red Cabbage Protective against Alzheimer's Disease

It has cardiovascular benefits

Combine shredded red and white cabbage with fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and seasonings such as turmeric, cumin, coriander and black pepper to make coleslaw with an Indian twist.

moisture song

moisture

smell the ocean in the air
help a worm across the sidewalk
cant leave it all at the door
beginners mind beginners body

there never was a turning back
but theres change in direction
count the days between the kisses
open the eyes of something
hope in the eyes of something

we entered on the cusp of genius
growing out of oceanic crust
dont badmouth the dust of angels
swirling round tasmanian devils
dont badmouth the dust of angels
swirling round and round and round
dont badmouth the dust of angels
swirling round and round and round

smell the ocean in the air
sometimes its just so difficult
sometimes its just so difficult
to get along and get along
to get along and get along
get along and get along
get along and get along

Return To Love

My mom sent this beautiful quote...thought i would share! I took this photo on our recent trip to California - on our way hiking to the coast!

much love, heather

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as childrendo.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us, it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our pressence automatically liberates others."

So happy salad

I'm so happy I finally made me a salad. It's been challenging to eat
healthy since my mind has been consumed with - well let's just say
itself.

After going to a group meditation at dharma punx last night and
getting a colonic this mornng, I'm hopping to start taking care of
myself again.
